We are proud to announce that our continued growth and success has been recognised by the prestigious Manchester Evening News Business of the Year Awards. We were this year’s winners in the £50m – £100m category.

We were presented the award at a glittering ceremony at Manchester’s Principal Hotel, last week. More than 350 guests turned out for this grand occasion, which marked the 26th anniversary of the prestigious awards, where the region’s best and biggest companies were honoured.

M.E.N. business editor Shelina Begum said: “The fast moving world of tech has led to companies across all sectors having to redefine their business models to adapt to rapid changes in digital to keep up with consumer demand.

“From AutoTrader, CarFinance, Cardinal Maritime to Matillion, these companies are big tech operators which are continuing to redefine the way they do business.”

This isn’t the first time we have been recognised at these awards; in 2003, we were winners in the category ‘Up to £10m’ and in 2012, we were finalists in the category ‘£25m-£50m’. This charts the progress of the business and it is fantastic that our team’s hard work and pioneering spirit has been recognised in this way.

It caps off a fantastic year for the business, which has seen us open a new warehouse facility in Manchester, and several new offices across the Far East. We are on track to reach our target of £100m turnover this year.

We would like to thank everyone that have helped make 2018 such a great year for Cardinal Maritime.
