Insurance
The Captain would recommend that all cargo is insured prior to shipment. Whilst many of our consolidation and FCL services are direct and therefore, the chance of damage, minimal, it is a reality that goods can be damaged during the shipment process. Unless we are formally instructed to provide insurance cover, the goods will travel uninsured and any claims will be limited to the terms and conditions outlined within the shipping documentation issued. It is unlikely that the level of liability cover provided within our terms and conditions will cover the value of any claim.
