They’re finally here! The London 2012 Olympics kicked off with a bang at the weekend with the opening ceremony on Friday 27th July signalling the games beginning in earnest. Congratulations to Helen Glover and Heather Stanning for scooping Britain’s first gold of the games in the women’s pair rowing event – with the total number of medals for Team GB standing at 15 at the time of writing, here’s hoping for plenty more!
There will of course be disruptions to the transport network in and around London over the coming weeks and we ask that any of our customers whose collections or deliveries will be affected to be prepared for delays. Good communication is the key to overcoming the logistics hurdles in the coming weeks – we’ll keep you up to date with any information we know of and would be very grateful if you can do likewise. In the meantime, don’t forget to enjoy the Games and good luck to Team GB – here’s hoping you’ll do us proud!
