The date was Friday the 25th September and the event was the Cardinal Maritime.com Golf day.
The venue was the beautiful Carden Park near Chester and the weather turned out to be just perfect (it doesn’t always rain near Manchester!) After some really great bacon rolls and limbering up on the putting green it all kicked off. There were some delightful examples of golf displayed on the Cheshire Course that day. Unfortunately not always by the guests or staff of Cardinal Maritime. We have subsequently been informed that certain people may have been caught on CCTV hacking their ways up the fairways instead of playing them. Please consult your solicitors just in case!
The winner of the competition was a jubilant Graeme Barron from Intercargo who really found his form and showed us how it could be done. The winner of nearest the pin was won by Michael “luck of the Irish” Daly from IPS in Dublin and Neil “The Power” Robertson from (Hellmann) won the prize for the longest drive on the 9th. The staff prize went to Andrew Smithurst who wasn’t all that used to victory being a Leeds fan.
It was a fantastic day out and we certainly intend to continue with the event.
