Sorry we couldn’t get Michael Parkinson to do this, he was busy. One of the first things we have to say is that it has ended much better than it started and it didn’t just include Susan Boyle….
2009 saw some significant changes here at Cardinal. We completed on the purchase of ‘Sherbert Point’, our Manchester HQ. Improvements to the warehouse, car park extension and new signage to the building has already been made (certainly improving the area!) and further building improvements will continue into 2010.
This year we have also invested heavily into new computer software and staff training programmes. Last, but certainly not least we were proud finalists in the Manchester Evening News Business of the Year in October.
New services offered this year include Sri Lanka (import and export), The Caribbean and South America. (No wonder The Captain’s got a tan!) Import rates from the Far East have bounced back with a vengeance and export volumes from the UK have steadily increased throughout 2009.
Let’s see what 2010 holds for us all, bring it on!
