Improved Port Kelang Service
Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
Posted in General
Did you know we are the only consolidator to offer a truly direct Port Kelang service from the UK?
It is a weekly sailing from Felixstowe with the quickest transit time of just 17 days, closing every Thursday and sailing every Tuesday.
This transhipment hub is an important port in the Far East market, strategically placed to offer many transhipment options and offers a real alternative to Singapore, often without the strict and heavy restrictions of dangerous goods.

Due to the phenomenal response for last month’s prize of a state of the art Weber Barbecue, we have continued the theme of entertaining!
To celebrate our expansion into South America (which as we all know makes some cracking wine) we have decided to offer a top quality case of mixed wine. However, we cannot guarantee the Captain won’t turn up unannounced for a small glass of Shiraz if you do win!
Please follow click here to enter your details and try and give the wine a good home to go to. Also details of last month’s winner.

FOB v’s CIF Imports to the UK
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009
Posted in Offers
Did you know the competition for CIF freight in China is so fierce that it has actually forced most UK destination charges to be higher than if the shipment was sent freight collect!
The local market rate for LCL cargo in China has for a long while been negative, which in turn has put more pressure on UK importers to pay higher UK charges. At Cardinal we are trying to encourage people to negotiate FOB terms with their suppliers and thus reduce their overall costs.
Please check out using the FREIGHTcalculator what your recent LCL import would have cost if it was shipped FOB and contact us to make your next booking!
