The Captain gets a soaking

Normally the Captain, our salty old seafarer is used to dealing with adverse weather conditions. But this time the bad weather didn’t help Captain Cardinal who had a particularly tough round during our official golf day at Withington Golf Course recently. Despite gale force winds, monsoon rain, and most of our brave customers getting thoroughly savaged by the day’s inclement weather, we had a great turnout. Some brilliant scores, some not so brilliant. Laughter, a few tears, and one or two broken putters. Our winners and losers were then welcomed back on to dry land by the Captain to the warmth of the clubhouse to dinner, beers and some great banter.
